upcoming films and film fests

mill valley film fest starts oct 7th. notable films include the korean horror flick a tale of two sisters and primer.

primer did well at sundance but most people either haven't heard of it or are confused over the plot. my guess is that pi would be a good comparison...think promising debut of a new writer/director who has created a low-budget, techno-jargon-rich, atmospheric thriller/morality tale. if that doesn't help...think la jetee but directed by steven soderbergh. ok that probably doesn't help either...just think "time machine" and go watch the movie. my guess is that - just like with pi - you'll either love it or hate it.

also, there's an imax film fest oct 1-3rd for those interested.
