jawbone headset
i like getting free gear. particularly when it's super cool tech gear. unfortunately that doesnt happen that much. however i did manage to score a jawbone headset from the conference last week.

besides its slick industrial design (the founder told me it's currently on display at the moma), the technology is pretty cool too. it has a rubber node which sits on your jaw and listens to your jaw vibrations. using digital signal processing, it's then able to compare various audio streams and strips out all noise not coming from you.
the technology was originally used by darpa and the demo was really compelling. you're able to stand right next to lawn mowers while using this thing. oh it automatically adjusts incoming audio volume as well. only problems...i) it's a bit pricey, ii) no bluetooth compatibility (yet)
they also gave out wifi seekers. not nearly as cool-looking but pretty useful.
