the freedom tower (which is being constructed at the wtc site) will have a bunch of wind turbines integrated into the building. designers estimate the windmills will power 20% of the anticipated energy needs of the building. neat.

also, gehry strikes again. the target: the outdoor pavilion of chicago's millennium park. i'm guessing the stainless steel ribbons which crisscross the seating area help position lighting and speakers.
