china

this was my first trip to china. probably not unlike other first-time visitors i left the country with mixed feelings of awe, confusion, excitement and hesitation. the experience was incredibly enriching, both personally and professionally. i'm looking forward to returning soon.

next trip (in a month of way too much traveling): sweden next week for business and then straight to new mexico to visit erica and meet up with the high school gang.

here are some china pics. some co-workers where quite shutter-happy and possess much better cameras than i so i'll post some of those pics as soon as i get them.

view from my hotel room. you could see the forbidden city and tiananmen square which were short walks away

local municipal workers doing their morning exercises

tai miao (imperial ancestral hall right next to the forbidden city)
