-brian singer (usual suspects, x-men) will be directing the new superman.  he's replacing McG - "director" of the charlie's angels movies - thank goodness...  hopefully singer will also get to co-write.  of course that means no singer for x3.  i would have preferred to have him stick with x-men.  

-carnahan quits mission impossible 3 just a couple weeks before filming.  too bad.  would have been interesting
