wireless is here

this weekend i was flipping through a random trashy teenie-bopper magazine (i won't mention who's it was but you know who you are...) and i grudgingly realized they're a great resource for helping stay truly in-tune with consumer technology (i'll be the first to admit i've developed a slightly skewed perspective from living in silicon valley, working at an internet company and reading technology news all day)...

i was expecting the mp3 mania...cute pink, sequined ipod cases, wearable flash memory mp3 players, etc...but one of the things that really surprised me was the infiltration of wireless technology gadgetry. i saw snippits like "top 10 ringtone downloads" as a monthly feature and wallpaper/ringtone shampoo marketing promotions...

add to this, friday's article that 29% of hong kong children 6 to 15 years old have a mobile phone and i no longer doubt the revenue or growth projections of wireless downloadable content companies...
